Edson Valsechi was born in Brazil on 14 December 1984. Brazil is a country in South America and is considered to be the most populous in South America. He began his musical career in Small Singers Choral music when he was aged 5. This was in Bairro Nossa Senhora. He went on to work for a group of singers who were located in Mirins District. This group basically did gospel songs and sang in churches. When Edson Valsechi was 15 years old, he joined the Coral show and Happy children group. Through this group, he was able to harness his artistic talent. He learnt how to utilize his vocals and express himself through his body by dancing. Up to now, this group is still popular and holds major concerts in the state of Bairro Nosa Senhora such as the opening of the Festival of Cana Students. When Edson Valsechi was 17 years old, he decided to participate in the Coral Cola.

To sharpen his voice more, he decided to take up vocal training and attended a Vocal Techniques seminar. His teacher was Jayne Volkman. Popstars is a television programme that is held in Brazil. It is similar to American Idols in a way as it is a competition where the best singer wins the prize.

Popstars were started in 1999 in New Zealand before the programme gained a world wide appeal and began showing in many countries, Brazil included. However, with time the show lost its appeal and many countries stopped running it due to low Ratings. The only country where Popstars became a hit and is till a hit is in Germany.

When he was 19 years old, Edson got a licence for vocals and his certified portfolio in the Order of MA sicos of Brazil. In 2007, Edson Valsechi was a member of the group Banda Stadium 7, where he eventually ended up becoming the lead singer. The Banda Stadium 7 was one of the most popular groups in Santa Cantarina.
